ABSL RUN & GUN CLUB CHALLENGE
The ABSL Run & Gun Challenge is a fun day where players that are currently part of our ABSL Clubs, come together to play against each other and test the basketball skills that they have learnt over the term.
TOURNAMENT REVIEW: 2019 TERM 3 - 28th SEPTEMBER
The day started early at Trust Stadium for our U11 Eastern Dragon Hoopsters and while we gave it our all and had 2 x convincing wins and 2 x losses (with one loss being only by 2pts) it wasn’t quite enough to come top of our pool to make the finals (no semi-finals in this grade). Later in the day our U13 Eastern Dragon Cavaliers went through the pool games undefeated and made it through to the semi-finals, however we were beaten by a well drilled TABA team in the end to finish our tournament. Our U15 Eastern Dragons Warriors also had 2 x convincing wins and the heart break of losing 2 games by 3pts each game, with the final pool game loss resulting in missing out on the semi-finals. Again thank you to our coaches, managers, score bench volunteers, supporters and referees for making this such a great day! (there is a possibility that there will be another tournament in early Dec).

What Can You Do To Help?
We require volunteers to assist with the teams on game day:
Coach / Team Manager / Score Bench / Referees
Can you help coach or manage a team, assist on the score bench or referee our team games? Part of our requirement to participate in the ABSL Run & Gun Challenge is that we supply someone to coach and manager the teams on game day, referee and assist on the scorebench for our games. The more volunteers we can get the less work that everyone will have to do, and the benefit is that you will get the ‘best seat in the house’ for our games. We are happy to provide instruction and support for these roles if required.
